Stephen Gardner DVM, Dip. ABVP

 

A graduate of Cornell University in 1979, Dr. Gardner spent several years as an equine and mixed practice Veterinarian before joining VCA Albany Animal Hospital in 1982. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practioners. Dr. Gardner is interested in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Alternative Medicine and Soft tissue Surgery.Dr. Gardners pets include a dog Ziggy, two cats, Winky and Dobby, and family members who behave like animals. His hobbies include acoustic guitar, electronic music, scuba diving and hiking.

Michael Sozanski DVM, Dip. ABVP

 

A graduate of Cornell University in 1979, Dr. Sozanski spent several years in small animal practice in the Bay area before joining VCA Albany Animal Hospital in 1991. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practioners. Dr. Sozanski is interested in all aspects of Surgery. His pets include a Golden Retriever, Chessie, four cats; Hardy, Sara, Macintosh and Pacho. He is a single parent to two teenage daughters. His hobbies include swimming, running, Macintosh computers, Web Design (he made this website), digital photography and traveling.

Tom Reed DVM

 

A graduate of the University of California, Davis in 1970, Dr. Reed joined VCA Albany Animal Hospital in 1970. Dr. Reed is interested in Soft Tissue Surgery and Orthopedics. His hobbies include skiing, scuba diving and woodworking. He has been featured in a New York Times article.

Wendy Beers DVM

 

A graduate of the University of California, Davis in 1985, Dr. Beers joined a practice in Sacramento specializing in exotic pets, spent a year in New Zealand working in an Auckland small animal clinic and joined a small animal practice in Connecticut before returning to California and the VCA Albany Animal Hospital in 1991. Dr. Beers specializes in Veterinary Dentistry and provides advanced dental procedures such as periodontal surgery, endodontics, and orthodontic therapy. Dr Beers shares her home with several Wheaton Terriers. Her interests include training and showing her dogs, volunteer work with local and national dog clubs, scuba diving and travel.

Terri McGinnis DVM

 

A graduate of University of California, Davis in 1971, Dr. McGinnis worked as an employed Veterinarian for approximately ten years before establishing her individual practice on the premises of VCA Albany Animal Hospital. She is the author of The Well Cat Book and The Well Dog Book, has written a column on veterinary medicine and has lectured extensively.

Susan Martin DVM

 

A 1995 graduate of the University of California, Davis. Dr. Martin first worked at a small animal practice in the San Ramon Valley then working part time in many Bay Area small animal practices before coming to VCA Albany Animal Hospital in 2005.

Gina Eigner DVM

 

Dr. Eigner is a 2006 graduate of Ross University. Originally from New York, her love of travel and adventure over the past eight years has taken her to Europe, Hawaii, the West Indies and throughout North America. She spent one year practicing in Atlantic Canada while completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery before moving to California. Dr. Eigner joined VCA Albany Animal Hospital in July, 2007. When not at work she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her own animals, a cat named Jave and a dog named Madison.
